I love Piccolo and Gohan and you drawn them well. Though I wouldn't consider their relationship as friendship. To me it's more a father/son relationship. And more often than not Piccolo acted as a substitute father for Gohan. Especially during the Cell saga when he yelled at Goku for endangering Gohan. You could really see the father in him talking.

I often wondered if it wasn't because Piccolo can't have children of his own. I know his father was a member of the Dragon Family and therefore could reproduce, but the reason why Piccolo could surpass Kami was because his father chose to create a warrior rather than another member of the Dragon Family. And the dictionnary says the warriors are sterile. And this trait would have been reinforced by absorbing Nail who was a warrior too. ^_^

Sorry for the late reply. But yes it's said in the Dragon Ball dictionary. In exchange of the greater fighting power, the warriors are sterile and their other spiritual/magic powers are much weaker than other nameks.

Piccolo Daimao and Kami were member of the namek family that's why they could reproduce. But to beat Goku, Piccolo Daimao created a warrior egg. That's why Piccolo was much more powerful than Kami.
